Why some Covid-19 vaccines were developed faster than any vaccine ever.

Researchers working on Covid-19 vaccines have smashed speed records, bringing new vaccines from development to distribution in less than a year. They did this with the help of billions of dollars of unprecedented global investment -- but also, in some cases, with a new type of vaccine technology.
There are four traditional types of vaccines, and they all require the growing and handling of live pathogens in a lab, a time-consuming process than can add months or years to development. But two new types of vaccines skip that step altogether by moving that work from the lab to our bodies. mRNA vaccines, like the ones from Pfizer-BioNTech and Moderna; and Adenovirus vaccines, like those from Johnson & Johnson and AstraZeneca; do this by sending genetic instructions directly into our cells, which then produce the harmless protein the body needs to learn to fight Covid-19. Because these proteins are produced from within cells rather than injected from the outside, they may be less likely to provoke adverse reactions in the recipient.
The result has been a host of vaccines developed faster than ever. But it's also ushered us into a new age of vaccine technology, one in which we can send our own bodies the instructions on how to protect themselves. That technology is already being used to drive research on vaccines for HIV and cancer. These new types of vaccines are weapons we developed to fight the coronavirus - but their real impact is just beginning.
Note: The headline on this video has been changed.

This video focuses on the two new types of vaccines, but as we say at 2:00, not all Covid-19 vaccines fall into those categories. Here’s a list of some of the leading vaccines, and which types they are: mRNA vaccines: - Moderna - Pfizer-BioNTech Adenovirus vaccines: - AstraZeneca - Johnson & Johnson - Sputnik V - CanSino Recombinant protein vaccines: - Novavax Inactivated virus vaccines: - Bharat/Covaxin - Sinovac - Sinopharm

What method they the use to get a pure genetic sequence of the spike protein? The virus is said to be foreign to human bodies, and coming form a bath? @Beth Jannet well they seem to be divided on how when and if covid re infects thr majority...right now what's proven is a rarity...and no one knows at all how long the vaccine antibodies will work or what strands it will fight either. Its just like the flu and the flu vaccines...sometimes they work sometimes they don't...except some of these vaccines are emergent use and not fda approved and what a great way to test out the introduction to MRNA to wide spread human population....looks like we shall learn a lot in trial and error this year!

@Slavic Boer For your reply to me: I still do not care. For your reply to Craig: There was actually clinical trials for most (if not all) of the proposed and promoted COVID vaccines.
Slavic Boer
Slavic Boer 2 दिन पहले
@Craig Phd I will never advocate for anything untested with no clinical trials, no peer review, nor replication in a lab, not proven to be effective and potentionally harmful with unknown long term effects. Same goes with wearing masks, and of course the CDC's and WHO's "guidelines". Even though the FDA granted Emergency Use Authorization (EUA) for three COVID-19 vaccines, they are not FDA approved to treat, cure or prevent any disease at this time. Clinical trials will continue for at least two years before the FDA can even consider approval of these vaccines as effective and safe. The COVID-19 vaccines on the market in the U.S., mRNA (Moderna and Pfizer) and DNA (Johnson & Johnson - Janssen), have caused notable side effects, pathology and even death (4.178 deaths per VAERS as of May 5, 2021). Recent research data demonstrates that the spike protein, present on the SARS-CoV-2 virus and the induced primary mechanism of action of COVID-19 vaccines, are the primary cause of disease, infirmity, hospitalization and death. The fact remains, its experimental, its gene therapy, in climical trials since August 2020 when it was first "allowed" to be used under EUA. The moment the "national emergency" that is COVID-19 is called off or an alternate treatment is deemed effective, all of the mRNA injections instantly become unapproved for human use. Synthetic biology is what it is to encompass this experimental gene therapy/gene editing. It's a multilayer multipurpose treatment whichmake people get all kinds of diseases, make them allergic to certain foods etc. You can also refer to the Nuremberg code from WWII, which requires individuals, “to be able to exercise free power of choice, without the intervention of any element of force. So far CDC's VAERS is based on voluntary submission and only a small percentage of actual events. Ask yourself, If these "vaccines" are safe and side effects are rare, then why are the drug companies and government exempt from lawsuits and liability? Shouldn't those be rare as well? "I am not aware of a paper which purified isolated SARS-Cov-2" --- Michael Laue 4 Sept, 2020.

@Slavic Boer You do not fully understand the comments you have cut and pasted. If you did understand it, you would not post comments such as 'gene therapy' The covid 19 vaccines mRNA does not enter the cells nucleus. That is where your DNA is. The mRNA is only active in the cytoplasm of the cell. The mRNA vaccine delivers the mRNA to the cytoplasm, and the protein is produced directly. The two acids are never in the same place to interact. An enzyme in your body breaks down the vaccine mRNA in a short period of time. You cannot change RNA to DNA in the human body unless a very specific enzyme is present. That enzyme is not present in humans or in any coronaviruses. You say, 'to produce and pump out copies of part of the covid-19 virus into your circulation'. You should say,' produces anti-bodies, which will fight the virus' But instead you try and scare people by implying you are been given the virus. Your other comments of 'optimistic sales pitch' and 'unknown risks and serious concerns', are equally inflammatory. I understand that you have no wish to take the vaccine. I have no wish to make you take it. Your body, your choice. However in making your inaccurate statements, you are negatively trying to influence other people. I assume thats the goal of anti-vaxxers, of which you appear to be one.

LISTEN!!! theres more chance of those under 30 of dying from having the vaccine than covid..the pharmacys that have created the vaccine have no liability if you have a complication due to the vaccine..and the trials are ending in 2023. So hear me out!? Why aint they telling those under 27 years old to not have the vaccine considering its more chance they will be hospitalized due to it? Atleadt then after 2 years in 2023 when the trials of the vaccine expire we will know the long term effects so then those who are under 30 can have more clarity knowing the vaccine is sctually fully safe? The vaccine dont even protect you against all variants..the brazillian/indian variants will spread just as fast globablly as the origional variant..yet those who have been vaccinated will not be protected..someone explain to me what the point is..other than goverment control?

blatantly false, even people under thirty have died as a direct result of the vaccine and one of the vaccines has killed about 1 in 500,000 people who got it (0.0002%) with covid your odds of dying are about (.2) so you are definitly better off with the vaccine

The "well, mRNA technology has been around for years" line is a straw man argument. That doesn't actually matter. For one, it's never been used on such a large scale. But more importantly, it's the specific manner in which the technology is being deployed is what matters, not the technology itself. The fact that mRNA injections used in the context of developing immunity for a coronavirus has never been done before, and that the long term effects of such an application are COMPLETELY unknown is what is important here. Bottom line, anyone who gets an mRNA injection is a volunteering themselves to be a human lab rat.
